Grupo Intercom - A new website for 12designer's mothership!

WHY?
This webpage will be a simple, independent, adapted and more modern version of the homepage of the Spanish Incubator for our German Incubator. In essence it will act as a microsite since the German incubator is independent from its Spanish counterpart and therefore different information needs to be transmitted (ex.: in Germany we are still analysing Investment proposals whereas in Spain the last assessment period just closed).
Note: There may well be further projects since the brand identity and Spanish website will be overhauled some-time in the near future.


SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
We would like you to design the home (start) page and one sub-page. The sub-page will be the page titled other projects (more details below).
We are looking for the overall design idea in the home and want to see the solution for the sub-navigation and the element in the sub-page.
Our suggestion would be that you create a proposal for the home and then when you have received positive feedback from us we would like you to design the sub-page, this should save you from duplicating work. However if you straight-away want to create both pages you are more than welcome.
In the content section and the attached files you will find more information on both sites.


WHAT TO COMMUNICATE?
The website is to be emotionally appealing with a focus on people with a job interest and entrepreneurs looking for investors. It should present Grupo Intercom as having a long experience in what he is doing and as a trustworthy partner to realise your dream: Becoming a successful entrepreneur; Working with something that fulfils you and leaves you room for self-determination and autonomy. We would like to project an innovative work environment that is defined by: room for the individual, networks, teamwork, absence of hierarchy, etc...
Attributes we want to communicate are:

- sustainable


VISUALS
Maintaining the logo, the main colours are:
Black, White and Red
We could see a page primarily in black&white (greyscales) with only a few highlighted elements in red but feel free to experiment! An emphasis on graphical language could be a nice one!


CONTENT
In terms of content we want to project a reduced and adapted version of the corporate website. Some texts may be taken from the original page but some will have new content generated for them. The site will be available in German and English. A sitemap is available for download (should explain the navegation) and more detail is given below. But keep in mind: Change happens!

1. Home
This should be with a refreshing design, give a first glance at what intercom is and guide the main user groups to where they need to go. The idea is to have:
A) One large graphical element (ex.: cool photo of our office, maybe changing between different photos);
B) One text element with a list of key facts illustrating the relevance of Intercom as a heavyweight in the European Internet Sector:

Here as mentioned before we are primarily looking for how you solve the sub-navigation, and deal with the wealth of content on one site.

Background
This webpage is for the recently opened Incubator in Berlin. Grupo Intercom Germany invests in Internet Start-ups very early-on. These businesses then set up in our offices in Berlin where we help them grow. Grupo Intercom Germany is the younger German version of Spain's largest owner of on-line businesses. The first business Intercom opened in Germany is guess what: 12designer!

Some general info on Grupo Intercom:

Focus is on the first two target groups (entrepreneurs & job-seekers).
