We need a logo for a brand new yacht webportal in development process. No Corporate Identity yet, we're starting from the very beginning. Boatoon is a portal in yachting and watersports. Our target is to be Europe's reference platform in this field. The platform will be based on advertisements (second-hand boats, new boats, charter boats, supplies, crew) and a directory (i.E. harbours, docks, watersport shops, e-commerce shops, charter providors, yachting schools).

Logo semplice e immediato. Si intuisce subito l'inluena marina. La boa di segnalazione e il mare che riflette. Il logo non perde di potere comunicativo nemmeno molto ridotto.

Cari Designer,

siamo veramente impressionati dalla varietà di idee con la quale avete elaborato il logo per il nostro nuovo portale. La creatività offerta sul portale 12designer è veramente eccezionale. Negli ultimi giorni abbiamo visionato attentamente le quasi 500 proposte diverse presentate. In diversi colloqui e meeting siamo arrivati a ridurre il numero delle proposte e ora siamo ancora indecisi tra due bozzetti in particolare. Discuteremo queste due opzioni con i nostri finanziatori e partner durante i prossimi giorni, così da aver un vincitore per la fine della settimana prossima. Spero che abbiate ancora un po' di pazienza sino ad allora.

Dear Designers,

it has been amazing how many different approaches you took to develop a logo for our new portal. The creativity that is gathered on the 12designer website is truly outstanding. During the last days we have been working our way through those almost 500 different designs. In many discussions and meeting we have reduced the number of designs and are now down to two different designs. We will discuss the two options with our investors and partners during the next days and hopefully we will have a winner by the end of next week. I hope for your patience until that point of time.

in this case it would be great to get a little bit more detailed feedback - otherwise we dont know what we can do to better fit yyour needs ...

Ciao Ragazzi,

grazie ancora a tutti per le vostre ottime proposte. Prima che il progetto volga al termine, vorrei ancora chiarire un paio di punti sul nostro target di riferimento. Sul nostro portale vorremmo raggiungere non solo appassionati della vela, ma anche amanti delle barche a motore. I motivi che rappresentano in maniera esplicita solo un tipo di imbarcazione, non possono per questo essere presi in considerazione perchè escluderebbero una parte del nostro target group. Il portale vuole inoltre essere innovativo. I tradizionali simboli nautici, come per es. i timoni, non si possono per questo accordare con il nostro stile. I simboli utilizzati dovrebbero essere moderni e la grafica in generale lineare e accattivante.

Sono impaziente di vedere come andrà quest'ultima fase del nostro progetto,

Hello Designers,

thanks for all of your great designs. Just before the project ends I want to clarify again the target group. We are aiming to get sailing and power boat enthusiast on our portal. Therefore we can not work with any design of a sail or a sailboat on the one hand and a power boat on the other hand. Some designs have been using other nautical symbols for example the steering wheel symbol which often looks very old. As our portal is going to be innovative the used symbols need to be modern and the design needs to be clear and catchy.

I look forward to the exiting final phase of our project.

grazie ancora per le tantissime buone idee!
In questa fase ho voluto dare i miei feedback principalmente attraverso l'attribuzione delle stelle per i diversi criteri di valutazione. Le proposte che ne hanno ricevuto 3, sono i lavori che mi hanno maggiormente colpito. Durante la giornata di domani li riprenderò in considerazione, concretizzando una linea definitiva.

Thank you for all those great designs. I am amased of the quality and the amount of different ideas. I haven been giving feedback with the stars. The designs with three stars are the once I like most. I will have a closer look at those designs by tomorrow to guide the project into the direction I want it to.

@ kleinerals3: the creativity and emotions in your designs are great - the problem is that your designs do not match the traget group and from my point of view we are not able to use them for our portal. The target group is between 30 and 60 years of age, mostly males...
