Mug design as give-away for first European Crowdconvention

12designer will be attending to Crowdconvention (www.crowdconvention.com), the first convention about crowdsourcing ever made in Europe. As part of our participation there, we want to show the attendants how successful and talented a creative community could be; that’s why we’re publishing this design project.

Client
Crowdconvention, the first convention about crowdsourcing to be held in Europe, needs a design for a mug. This mug will be handed out to all attendants to our convention, which will take place in Berlin (Germany), on June 15th 2011.

Aim
The first aim is to link directly convention’s subject (crowdsourcing) with an object, and to show how pretty crowdsourced design could be. With a physical object, we’re stating and showing that crowdsoucing is a real option if you want to get done a service. And, of course, we all want to have a nice mug ;-)

Target group
Entrepreneurs and business people. But: this does not mean they’re old, rich and boring! We address to dynamic, young business people, open-minded to new ways of thinking and doing business. They try (or even promote) new ways of running a business, they’re aware of every new technological feature, and connected all day long.

Positioning your brand/product:
It’s the first convention about Crowdsourcing in Europe. That’s a new thing. We all love new things. It represents a brand new way of doing things. This is the future and we love it. And everyone here has the ability of make things change regarding business models and working procedures.

USP (Unique Selling Proposal)
The crowd takes the power. Collective intelligence is the answer. 100 minds find more creative and innovative ways than just one.

Tone
Collective, supportive, intelligent and fresh, but also professional.

Creative and tactical strategy:
We need this mug design to show, at first glance, that crowdsourcing is a new way of working. Also, that this convention is a business convention about the future, and this future is already here. It has to show crowdsourcing’s main points: intelligence of the mass, collective contribution. And this has to be combined with the fact that should be a mug that everyone will receive, and we want them to take it with them, use it and love it.

Technical details:
Crowdconvention’s logo has to be integrated in the design.

Design has to respect following measurements:
180mm long
85mm high

The mug design has to be printed respecting mug´s margins.
