Claims and slogans: make it real!

12designer starts its new project category

Yeah, that's right: 2010 brings under its arm a brand new marvellous thing; our Claims&Slogans category. It seems, we didn't have enough with our big step-forward category Naming; it looks like we were not happy with all the new companies that received a good commercial name thanks to our talented community. No, we wanted more.

Therefore, we thought about starting 2010 going forward: and here's the result. Now, we're not just design, only design: with the Naming category, we opened a window to a new, ignored dimension: copywriting. Concepts. The other half of the watermelon, as they say around the Mediterranean.

Yep, that's right: it's Christmas

We all know that: Christmas is that time of the year, that you either love or hate. Staying in the middle only assures you some chatty conversations and discussions about if it is a commercial appointment, or God's birth celebration, or just a pagan coincidence.

But that's not the point, we think. What makes interesting Christmas, is the end of the year; and therefore, the ability of analysing the whole year, what happend, what didn't happen at the end, what could we've done better, where did we fail. And, if we're constant, change those little things.

A nice project, good music, and a too quick E-Mail

Head of poetAt 12designer, offers and design proposals come together in a common place. That means, we offer an online platform for designers and clients, that helps them resolving design issues and projects. Clear until now? Clear.

There are some projects that bring to our platform a bit more of colour: those that step outside the margins. Blog guest: "How do I protect my designs?"

We all want to establish a difference with our competitors and to reach our target group; our weapon, a professional, individually created design. This creative effort has its value! It is obviously not nice being copied, plagiarized or misused, no matter if knowing about it or not. In fact, it's annoying, and in many cases it also hurts the wallet. Reason enough to deal with the issue, and the right time to present three possible solutions. Today we free our blog space for Peter Schilling, from designprotection.com, who will guide you thru this issue.

It's about legal questions, criminal offences... that lovely stuff. You see whay it's wise to read first? ;-)

Netiquette: old fashioned things are back

"hahahaha, awful. I think I'll never take part again in any project in this website, due to client's lack of knowledge. Cheers and byebye. Pathetic."

In a creative process, brain is not the only role playing: sometimes our heart whips our pride or our disappointment, and when we should breathe and let our thoughts get settled, we throw a verbal brick, going beyond any basic manners rule. We tend to forget that there's a person behind the screen, another human being. And we shall treat him/her not only with respect, but also within the Netiquette limits.

Netiquette? What the duck is that?

[12designer not only connects designers and clients; if necessary, we also teach them something new ;-) ]
