What you should know about 12designer
We are conceptual artists, designers and project managers from the agency world. Therefore, we know the problem of having no designers available when you need one, and then appearing when you have no work for them. We want to do something about this. We considered how we could bring designer and client together and created a portal aimed at producing design tasks fast and efficiently.
There are some projects you don't need a large agency for, there are others which projects that need to be completed quickly. However, doing it all yourself is not always the best option. This is where 12designer comes in - we bring together designers with great ideas and clients with interesting design projects. Thereby allowing designers to do what they do best - design! And the best win the contract. At the same time we aim to offer the best solution for the client.
We work from Berlin to create this new platform for design projects.

Meet the people making 12designer tick
Eva Missling CEO
Eva founded 12designer in October 2008, fascinated by the idea of applying the principle of crowdsourcing to the design sector. Through studying Industrial Engineering it became clear that she would love to work together with a smart, cooperative team to build her own company. Before 12designer Eva gained valuable experience as a senior strategic consultant for internet agencies like Framfab (now known as LBi) and Mediaworx, handling the strategic orientation and branding of internet projects for companies like Postbank and T-Mobile. Eva is living and working in Berlin for 4 wonderful years and has a particular passion for design and art.
Ralph del Valle English & Spanish Community Manager; Press and Corporate Communications
Born in London in the UK, raised in Spain and now living in Berlin, Ralph brings great international knowledge and expert copywriting skills to the 12designer team. Ralph worked in TV journalism for years before a love of words pulled him towards the world of marketing and advertising. He takes an active role in the marketing and social media aspects of 12designer and also handles our press and corporate communications.
Eva Köster German Community Manager
After graduating with a Communication and Marketing degree Eva (or Eva 2.0 as we like to call her) spent valuable time abroad in Barcelona to sharpen her skills working for a couple of online start-ups before joining 12designer. Eva is an expert in online marketing and when she's not managing the German community on the site, she often plays teacher to the rest of the team when it comes keyword analysis and search engine optimization.
Léo Lassarade French Community Manager
Léo has a particular interest in design as well as the creative elements of advertising and marketing, making him a perfect fit for 12designer. He has his finger on the pulse when it comes to the design and music scene and is usually the one providing the music whenever the team goes for after-work drinks. As part of his time with 12designer, Léo is writing a paper about the viability and durability of utilising crowdsourcing as a business model.
Andrew Weber Social Media & Marketing
Andrew hails from Brisbane in Australia and brings his expertise in social media and copywriting to the team. After completing a degree Psychology, Andrew took a sidewards step into the world of blogging and freelance writing, launching a couple of his own football sites and writing for several others. He currently works on the social media and marketing side of 12designer and is thoroughly delighted that the Berlin winter is over for another year.
Giulia Depentor Italian Community Manager
Born near Venice in Italy, Giulia completed a degree in Politics and spent a few years abroad working in Paris and Barcelona before moving to Berlin. Moved by a great passion for writing and journalism, she worked for a local Italian television station, and now she's blogging, writing and editing several online magazines to assist Italians living abroad. Giulia is the newest member to the 12designer team and manages the Italian community and communication.
