Hi,

I just went freelance with my own digital product consultancy and have started putting together my business website/blog and am also planning on having a brochure and business cards.

I am still looking for a good logo representing my name, that adheres to the classic logo guidelines, e.g. needs to work on different backgrounds, work in print and online, work in black and white etc.

We´ve been asked to extend the running time for same days. The client will give some additional feedback.

Hello

Could you let me know what criteria you use for the "style" points? Asking because I see that one of my drafts has 3 and the other 2 (which I think means "lame"), but colours and typo are the same, so I'm not sure what conclusion to draw. Thanks!

Thanks for the info, that sounds good.

If the logo can be done with freely available fonts, then that's better, but if the designer recommends a typeface and I agree that it looks amazing in that typeface, then I am happy to invest, as long as we really are looking at two digits and not three...

That depends on which typeface it is, and also how many variants you would want or need (like bold, italic and so on) – usually a single typeface has a two-digit pricetag.

It's very well possible that there will be no additional costs – a designer can also draw their own font (although that's a bit unlikely with this budget), or just work with one they already have –, so I'm not saying you *have* to spend more, I just want to know what the options are.

Maybe you could just give us a ballpark figure how much you could afford, so that designers know what they can work with?

What costs are involved to do that, please?

Would you be willing to cover the additional costs of licensing a typeface for your logo/visual identity? With only 100EUR, I don't think any designer would be willing to budget for a typeface, which would lead to a very limited choice of free fonts.
